– Adjusting windows and doors improves heat retention and reduces the noise and pollution from outside entering living spaces, which primarily affect people's health and the quality of the seals.

– Window/door seals can last for decades if maintained. Silicone seals that are not maintained can become unusable within just the first few years. To ensure that seals last, it is essential that windows are properly adjusted and do not let in drafts or moisture! 
A seal needs to be replaced immediately if mold, moss, or mildew is visible on it, or if it no longer holds its shape and starts to become “plastic” or even crumble.
